Better Insurance for Large Families
UnitedHealthcare offers two levels of dental insurance that, in essence, act as PPO plans. The dentists with the Placerville Dental Group are available to you with the higher quality, patient choice Premier plan. UnitedHealthcare offers a large national network of over 210,000 dental providers, making this a good option if you plan on moving out of California.
The Large Family Benefit
Because of how UnitedHealthcare applies individual deductibles, this plan is great for large families. For each family member, a $50 deductible is paid for any dental services beyond typical preventive care of cleanings and check-ups. Once you reach $150 in deductibles, however, you no longer have any more deductibles applied to your family that year. So if you have four or more family members and all need dental treatment, your deductible costs are less compared to other programs.
The Premier Insurance Plan
The Premier dental insurance plan is the best level of coverage provided by UnitedHealthcare. With Premier coverage, if you desire to use an out-of-network dentist, UnitedHealthcare pays your “reasonable” dental expenses, up to $1000 per family member annually. You can use the Premier plan with the Placerville Dental Group.
